I bought the TV from Costco 3 years ago with an Extended warranty from SquareTrade. The TV stopped working and I called Squaretrade and they said since the TV was hung on a wall of a Florida room they wouldn't cover it.

Samsung told Costco they would have covered it if it was under their warranty. Squaretrade still won't cover it even though they say they cover all the items that the Manufacturer covers.NOT TRUE. do not buy this insurance and Costco needs to take them off their list.

The reviews I have read are all negative . Customers need to reserach the comapanies before buying their products.

Product or Service Mentioned: Squaretrade Tv Warranty.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $1200.

Preferred solution: authorize repair.

1. When you Register the product, you have to submit a copy of the purchase receipt.

Why do they ask for a copy of the same receipt when you file a claim?

2. They give a one page document called "Your official warranty policy" and they make no mention of any other terms and conditions or contract. When you make a claim, they send you a copy of their "contract" which was never mentioned or referred to.

3. Then they talk in the Policy of "free in-house service" - but they claim they will not re-install the item to be replaced.

They offer to give "cash refund" for a covered item, without taking into account that you bought something on special offer so to replace it, would cost more than the original purchase price which they agree to refund.

5. They promise "24 hours 7 days a week' but if you call at weekends or after hours, there is nobody there and if you leave a call back #, they do not call back.

Enough so far.
