New Reviewerpurchased television and square trade 5 year protection plan, back in November 2016 My tv started to black out half the screen this year 2021, I called square trade (allstate protection) on June 7th 2021 and they were very good assisting me, trying to reset my tv to work, they had it back to normal, I thanks them and hung up, but 5 minutes later the tv was back to half screen, I called back and they tried to help me again, but could not repair it, they informed me that they would send me an email in a couple of days, about what they would do. A day later they informed me that they would send me a check for the tv, because it cost too much to repair.
told me heck would take 5 business days. I waited 8 business day to call them as I did not receive it. they informed me again that sometimes it would take 10 business days. I waited 12 business day and talked with them again, I was informed now, that the check was sent out on the 18th, and I would received it tomorrow for sure.
It has been four days since I talked with them, still have not received check.
I guess I will have to call the BBB and start a complaint. don't want to hear anymore lies from them
Monetary Loss: $425.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
SquareTrade Pros: Product is it was useable, Initial ploy sounded good.
SquareTrade Cons: Do all they can to avoid paying valid claims, Square trade company are crooks and liars do not pay or replace.
