We sent our daughter's laptop to the McAllen, Texas location for repair. A few days later, Netflix calls my daughter to advise that someone accessed her account from Mexico.

Looking at a map, McAllen directly abuts the Mexican border. Coincidence? I think not. But the SquareTrade folks believe that to be the case, despite the fact that when this happened, they had possession of the lap top.

They tried pinning in on my daughter for not following instructions to remove passwords, accounts, etc. So I asked, if someone doesn't, does this give your repair people then the license to steal information and make unauthorized access to accounts?

The poorly speaking representative (clearly not answering from a site in the US) danced and sang about this and that until I said I heard enough, I want to speak with a supervisor. I am still waiting to hear from someone.

Reason of review: Breach of trust.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: 360 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA

Interesting. Perhaps we'll be hearing of the desperate need to provide Netflix streaming to illegals in addition to free food, medical care, etc.

I think your daughter has created awareness of this need. Aren't you happy now?
