Although they process claims quickly, they scam you. I was filing a claim and an ad popped up for a $69 deductible rather than $99.
When I received my refund check, SquareTrade took out $99. I called customer service and the woman said it did not apply to me because I selected “other location” rather than an Apple store. I did however, have the repair done at an Apple Store. The downtown Apple store is not listed on Square Trade’s map.
Therefore, I selected other. The rep told me I should’ve selected any Apple store. How do I know this would not affect my claim. Also, the advertisement appeared before selecting any location.
So, this discount did not apply to me because I did not lie about the location of the Apple store and because I selected other even though I had the repairs done at Apple. I cancelled my warranty and after 5 years, will never use them again.
