Today, July 31, 2017 I filed a claim on my iPhone 6 plus. The company charged me the 99$ deductible and sent me to their local representative who quickly found a bad speaker in my phone and replaced it.

He told me the repair would cost Square Trade 50$. That means in addition to my $119 dollar insurance policy I just made Square Trade an additional $50. I chatted with Square Trade support who told me that even though the phone only cost $50 to fix I was still liable to pay $99. How is that fair?

I have many policies with Square Trade; I have recommended them to many . You have lost my confidence in your company.

Product or Service Mentioned: Squaretrade Cell Phone Claim.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $50.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

I didn't like: Misrepresent fraud, I paid a deductible that was above the cost of the repair.

perhaps you should have found the cost of repair before invoking the insurance process? this is common to all types of insurance
