I purchased a NEW tablet for my son last year on Ebay. I also at the time purchased a 2 year Square Trade warranty for this tablet as my son is a teenager.

When I viewed the ad on Ebay for the warranty, it stated all about the warranty. When I clicked on the details it said it covers accidental Damage as long as this was purchased at the time the item was purchased. My son dropped the tablet and the screen was damaged. I started a claim on the Square Trade site and it was denied.

I spoke to them on the phone and was told the plan I purchased did not cover accidental damage. Now on Ebay if you are offered a plan they have 2 options, one at double the price is Accidental Damage. But when I view my receipt from PayPal it does not give me 2 options. I had no reason to believe I was NOT purchasing a plan that covers Accidental Damage.

When speaking to Square Trade I was told by BOTH the Representative & the Supervisor that to purchase a plan that did not cover accidents was useless. There is a part in their Ebay ad "Important Things To Know" you would think that listing that this coverage you are about to purchase DOES NOT cover accidents would be a good thing to ad. They have sold over 9000 of these USELESS Plans on Ebay in the last year.

Nice income for a USELESS PRODUCT. They listed these like this for a reason and in proof that they knew what they were doing, one of the first things they offered me was a refund for my purchase.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $89.
